With reviewers here giving step by step advice, coupled with a YouTube video or two, installation took a half hour but most of that time was spent jostling around the washer in a small space and cleaning up years of ick under the washer. I installed the front knob first without paying attention to the slot on the timer so for my operational check the knob function was all wrong. Second time when the knob was correctly seated over the slot it was all good.This is an 18-YO Whirlpool washer which works well. As long as it does what it’s supposed to do I prefer it over the side drum washers out there now, or the water saver front loaders with no agitator. Installing saved the price of a service call to do the same thing as us do-it-yourselfers can do.
